Far from the bling of other Mediterranean destinations, Yayaki Hotel by Maison Hand, is dedicated to keeping the Spetses discretion that has made its reputation. When you enter the big wooden door leading to the house, you fell in love with the traditional Spetsiotis-style building, its romantic balconies, and the bougainvillea’s bright color palette. The hotel is perfectly located, in a quiet street, right in between the nearest beach “Agios Mamas” and Dapia, both five minutes walk away. With fifteen bedrooms, a pool, and a yoga studio, Yayaki Spetses offers the perfect size for guests to benefit from personalized service and the small details that make a difference. The house is divided into two buildings, with the pool and its surrounding wooden deck, in the middle. The main house is where you will find most of the bedrooms and the yoga studio, and in the smaller detached house, the lounge, the library, the open-plan kitchen and reception areas. Being passionate about raw, vegan, and gourmet food themselves and as a way to raise awareness about sustainability, they decided to create the first vegetarian, meat-free hotel on Spetses, with plant-based options. They worked with a plant-based chef from Athens to offer Yayaki guests, menus that create simple gourmet rituals, and little symbols of wellness during the day.
