Their project of the Wabi-sabi apartment it is derived from the Country of Cherry Blossoms, Japan. It is characterized by a strictly defined philosophy which, unlike contemporary trends of minimalism and consumerism, focuses on authenticity, acceptance of the aging process and finding beauty in the imperfections of the natural cycle of maturation.
Hence, in this project, you can find a lot of design references to this philosophy: slightly dirty walls, brick colors, aged natural wood, a large amount of ceramics. The philosophy of Wabi-sabi is not only the acceptance of the organic materials but also the simplicity, so characteristic of this country.
