Pierre Yovanovitch‘s latest venture, the New York Gallery, located on the penthouse level of 555 W 25th Street, is a testament to his dedication to quality and craftsmanship. The 8,000-square-foot space in the heart of Chelsea’s art scene serves as the first physical manifestation of Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier, showcasing over 80 pieces of furniture and lighting, both new and existing.
Yovanovitch’s work, characterized by its focus on longevity and exceptional quality, reflects his Provencal heritage and commitment to sustainability. Crafted by European artisans, the gallery features iconic pieces like the Bear Chair, Callis Table Lamp, Roze Dining Table, Arthur Sofa, and Artemis Rug. Open from Monday to Saturday, the gallery offers meticulously designed vignettes that place the furniture within a home context.
Yovanovitch creatively juxtaposes his pieces with contemporary artworks by artists such as Camille Henrot and Wolfgang Tillmans. The gallery’s ambiance is further elevated with lighting by PSLab, hardware by The Nanz Company, stoneware by Arca, and wall paint by Atelier Mériguet-Carrère. With its rooftop terrace and open floor plan, the New York Gallery is a captivating space where visitors can immerse themselves in Yovanovitch’s world of design, celebrating craftsmanship, sustainability, and the timeless aesthetic appeal of his creations.
