Villa Dione is a 60m2 secluded one-bedroom villa on the Greek island of Kefalonia, overlooking the Ionian Sea by local design studio L-Architects. Villa Dione is the fifth villa collaboration between bespoke hospitality agency Kefalonian Chic Villas and L-Architects. Located on a rugged hilltop without a neighbor in sight, the holiday house is cleverly laid out in an irregular cross to reveal unobstructed open sea views from every space in the home.
Pressed concrete forms the interior canvas, mirroring the sandy exterior and creating a seamless continuity between indoors and outdoors. Black steel framed openings create a striking contrast against the creamy walls and frame the emerald-colored coast vistas. The only internal partition in the open-plan home is see-through; a wall of triangular breeze blocks discreetly separates the bedroom from the bathroom without interrupting the flow of the space. Villa Dione offers a true escape from reality, encouraging guests to take advantage of Kefalonia’s slower pace in an authentic design setting.
