Leading the rebirth of a bright apartment in a fifteenth-century building in the historic center of Como was Doriana De Petris, a Roman-born ceramist, with sensitivity and empathy that gradually enriched her creative activity, making her evolve towards that of discoverer of talents and well-made things that he loves to propose in her home-atelier-showroom, renamed Spazio Dep.
“My life was a succession of doors that opened”, summarizes, “and I find that this space, full of openings, in some way reflects it”.
Doriana de Petris uses most of her waking hours in the apartment, even if it’s not here she lives. Her real home is located on the top floor of the building. Spazio Dep is a place where visitors feel comfortable and at the same time there is a shop where everything is for sale, including Doriana de Petris’ own ceramic works.
Spazio Dep is a place where there is life where you can walk around, sit down and read a book. It is a place where people meet for coffee tastings, for cooking classes and subsequent joint dining, for conferences and for launches of perfumes, books and design collections.
