Sofia Wallenstam, co-founder of fashion label House of Dagmar, and her long-time design collaborator Louise Liljencrantz have reworked an Arts and Crafts-style Stockholm home into a timeless vision of quiet yet powerful elegance. In her early 20th-century heritage-protected building on a nature reserve in central Stockholm, Sofia applied a Swedish sensibility, while adding to the space minimalist lines, a restrained palette, and robust natural materials. In her open kitchen lays a solid walnut and oxidized steel dining table that weighs 350 kilograms and a 4.6-meter-long rug, custom dyed to match the soft grey-beige walls, is placed under that massive dining table. Her collaboration with Louise Liljencrantz is visibly shown from the Transylvania limestone-clad kitchen bench tops to the stained oak wardrobes meticulously handcrafted to echo the original woodwork of the 1905 house.
