Willow Urban Retreat is a minimalist place located in Armadale, Australia. It is designed by Meme Design.

Specifically it is an urban shelter offering holistic medicine, yoga lessons, nutritional advice, cafes, spa treatments.

The place is located in two buildings, interconnected with a central yard. The cafe is located in the left building while the spa center is located in the right one.

The interior lime walls, the existence of archs as main motif , the big skylights across the perimeter of the building, are all characteristics of the buildings.

The material palette includes natural mineral stones, jade green onyx and cement. Also light plays an important role.’

Combining all of the above, the alchemy of water, metal and wood is achieved, composing a totally natural place.

In conclusion, this particular place is one of tranquility, and calmness, combining white, height and spatial simplicity.

At the same time it contributes to mental and body health providing a chance for meditation and introspection.
