Located in Östermalm in Stockholm, Nordiska Kök designed this modern warm minimalist kitchen with rounded corners. Minimalist doors with discreet knobs and a large kitchen island. A wall-mounted cabinet in the same color as the rest of the kitchen means that it blends into the background and creates an airy and modern feeling. Therefore, the same warm color scheme was chosen as in the rest of the floor. The round shape of the kitchen is found in the adjoining rooms.
A large kitchen island was built to serve as the home’s hub. Exclusive appliances from Gaggenau were placed in the separate cabinet section. To soften the minimalist home, a white warm color was chosen for the walls and kitchen. Since you look straight into the kitchen from the living room, the kitchen would look more like an extension of the living room rather than just a kitchen. By rounding the corners of the kitchen, the row of benches feels more like a piece of furniture than a classic kitchen. The minimalist kitchen fits, despite its restrained design, very well into the house and its stucco which is from the 20th century.
