The new complex of 18 suites is located in the Lighthouse of Sifnos and its architectural stamp belongs to K-Studio. The paradox of the local glossary was the inspiration for the name of the new hotel NOS Hotel & Villas. On the other hand, of course, NOS has different Latin connotations, as a pronoun it means “we”, “our”, “and us”—something very typical of the climate one encounter when visiting the island.
The hotel is located in Faro and consists of 18 suites divided into four stone buildings like a protective embrace of a Sifno village. Internally, they defend the privacy of the space, while there are also common places that invite you to “together”. What was taken care of during its creation was to synchronize the architectural footprint with the interior design and with the taste and well-being that the owners wish to offer to their guests.
As it has been built, the NOS rises like an independent peninsula, giving the feeling that it is an extension of the natural landscape. The bright and spacious interiors, which start and end in secluded courtyards, terraces, and balconies, enhance this feeling. Geometries and light are softened with arches and vaulted corridors creating a cocoon of privacy.
The earthy color palette, the natural, clean, and tangible materials – the stone, the marble, the korasani – condense in just a few square meters all the uniqueness of this piece of Cycladic land. Joanna Burtenshaw’s original artworks convey the dynamism of place inside each room, while the lounges, lounges, and dining areas on the verandas create the double-room effect and give you the option to move the activities of one room outside. All spaces exude calmness, simplicity, and refined luxury. The NOS restaurant focuses on Greekness and locality, both in the raw material and in the execution of the recipes.
