Tripodakis Architects designed the beautiful Nesea boutique apartments in Hydra island, Greece. Freshly opened in 2020, “Nesea” provides a home away from home. The name “Nesea” comes from ancient Greek mythology and is one of the Nereid nymphs, protector of the Aegean Islands. Their rooms are decorated in pastels and earthly tones that exude harmony and serenity, with simple yet chic furniture of natural wood.
Eco-friendly and natural materials such as oak, linen, and cotton are used, along with some selective handcrafted items by Greek designers. Among the sleek, modern architecture you will also find some elements of traditional island architecture, like their ceilings with beams and reeds. Natural sunlight flows through space, while lighting is set up attentively to brighten each room creating an atmosphere that encourages you to spread out and find a quiet corner to relax. No two rooms are decorated exactly alike, further reinforcing the home-style feel.
