The newly renovated turn-of-the-century apartment on Kungsholmen bears several traces of the interior stylist and blogger Lovisa Häger‘s many passions. The renovation process, or rather the demolition process, started immediately. Linoleum floors were to be torn down, as were the walls and the old kitchen. The floor plan was also redrawn. But there was no clear plan from the beginning.
The interior is soft beige and most things go tone by the tone in different sober shades. It is calm and easy for the eye to rest. The carpentry is in a darker tone than the wall, but the contrast is subtle. The wooden coffee table is one of Lovisa’s latest successful DIY projects. The plank, which is 200 years old, she found by chance – forgotten and dusty in the barn on the farm. The dining table is also self-designed, as are the site-built desk, the lamps in the kitchen, and the modern fireplace surrounded by a storage unit.
