As Easter is approaching you could make a gorgeous DIY jute Easter basket and use it as a decoration in your house. The things that you will need are:
-12mm Crochet Hook
-Jute (I used 2 135’ rolls of 4 ply)
-Removable Stitch Marker -Leather (I used a 26” x 1.5” strip)
-Snaps
-Snap Setter
And in order to make it you have to:
-Crochet 6 single crochet (sc) into a magic circle. (6)
-The bottom of the basket is crocheted in a spiral.
Place stitch marker in the first stitch of the round and move it up every time you complete around.
-Round 1: 2 sc into each stitch. (12)
-Round 2: 1 sc, 2 sc into next stitch. Repeat ** to the end of the round. (18)
-Round 3: 2 sc, 2 sc into next stitch. Repeat ** to the end of the round. (24)
-Round 4: 3 sc, 2 sc into next stitch. Repeat ** to the end of the round. (30)
-Round 5: 4 sc, 2 sc into next stitch. Repeat ** to the end of the round. (36)
-Round 6: slip stitch into 1st stitch of the round, chain 1, in same stitch sc through back loop only, 35 sc through back loop only. (36)
-Round 7: slip stitch into 1st stitch of the round, chain 1, in same stitch sc, 35 sc. (36) -Repeat round 7 2 more times.
-Round 10: slip stitch into 1st stitch of the round, chain 1, in same stitch sc, 7 sc, chain 2, skip next 2 stitches, 16 sc, chain 2, skip next 2 stitches, 8 sc. (36)
