Garde Hvalso vision-is still the same as it was 20 years ago – and that is to create unique furniture and interiors with an ever-present focus on pure and honest design. Behind the company today are three cabinet makers and one architect – united in a common professional pride rooted deeply in the nordic design tradition.

They don’t think the recipe for crafting good quality is particularly difficult, it is only requires good materials, and to carefully process them close to the source where they were conceived and designed.

Their thinking is never trend driven and when they build kitchens, furniture and furnishings in Denmark and abroad, their aim is to achieve the highest possible level of both aestetics and functionality by the absence of unnecessary details.

After creating many bespoke kitchen projects for homes with Dinesen floors, Garde Hvalsøe came up with the idea of designing a kitchen that would seem like a natural extension of the plank floor.

Solutions where Garde Hvalsøe’s craftsmanship and grasp of quality meet Dinesen’s craftsmanship and quality wood. Today, the first kitchens have been created as a result of this design partnership, both in Denmark and abroad. In the design, the floor is incorporated with the use of solid Dinesen planks in the construction of the kitchen, where the big dimensions of Dinesen’s Extraordinary by Nature collection enable coherent, uninterrupted lines.
