The Apartment Platon by CO Arquitectura is located in a classic building in Barcelona, where ​​the succession of renovations had hidden the original architectural details. The project tries to resurrect the lost essence while restructuring the program and simplifying the circulations, adapting it to the current needs of a family. In this delicate balance between past and present, a warm and minimalist palette of materials is used, with a uniform tone, on which selected contrasting elements occur, such as sculptural pieces of furniture. 
A central axis articulates the entire apartment, starting from a main entrance hall, which enables the division between the main and more intimate areas of the house. Finally, natural light is brought to the center of the apartment, enhancing the natural characteristics of the place. Architectural barriers are eliminated and new relationships are generated through the rooms, allowing the play of light and shadow to take center stage.
