In the city of Patras, a forgotten classical building has been transformed into a brand new 5-star hotel, The Bold Type Hotel. In the interior, the traditional designs have been replaced by a minimalist aesthetic, projecting the power of imagination during the process of architectural transformation. The construction of the building in question is without a doubt a work of art that supplements the beautiful architecture of Patras. One interesting fact is that it was completed in three different phases.
The first phase was completed in the late 1800s, the second at the beginning of the r century and the last phase concerning most of the building took place in the early 1910s. The completion of the third phase gave the building its special architecture. The hotel has 4 floors and a total of 10 rooms/suites supplemented with a magnificent garden at the back. The hotel’s color theme is primarily based on the original ones. Green, on the 1st floor, combines well with the wild plantation of the garden and their Garden suite.
Red, on the 2nd, perfectly aligns the stones of the ancient Conservatory with our Atelier rooms. On the 3rd floor, one can admire the color blue that unites the sky and the building’s memoirs. On the 4th floor there is the Roof View which is accessible only to hotel residents and in exceptional cases can host a private event for up to 20 people. The frescoes on the second floor were made after its completion, around 1920. They are hand-painted and depict old marbles, a common phenomenon of that time. 
At the back of the hotel lies a magnificent courtyard that has been transformed into a fine dining restaurant. The hotel garden, dating back to 1922, has a liquid element in the center that surrounds the tallest palm tree in the city.
