The Water Tower Project

At the top of a water tower there is an apartment, the Water Tower project, outside of Stockholm. The long narrow tower from 1910 is built in beautiful dark brown brick and has arched windows in different sizes. The apartment is on two floors and upstairs there is the newly renovated kitchen, by Nordiska Kök, in the place where the stairs from the downstairs previously went up. Although the building is from the beginning of the last century, a more toned down minimalist tone was chosen. The kitchen has smooth oak doors that are stained in a dark brown tone that fits perfectly with the beautiful mid-century furniture. The sink has been unmounted so that the eye instead lands on the beautiful marble top.
Most of the doors have a push function, but the fridge, freezer, and pantry have beautiful handles by the star interior designer Vincent van Duysen. The table and floor were chosen to match the kitchen. All choices have been turned and twisted both once and twice and nothing has been left to chance. The perfect marble top, the oak-clad insides on the cabinets, and the small bookshelf closest to the window – everything is of the highest quality and gives the whole home a very thoughtful feeling.
